I read this slowly because I enjoyed the discoveries that you made - not newsbreaking or earth shattering, but subtle and full of pauses. A fun “coincidence” - I reserved Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself at the library yesterday. 😊 I’ve been trying to unlearn the “school” feeling I have when I’m finishing a post. I’m not getting graded, but it feels like it sometimes. I’ve been trying different publishing rhythms to find a better flow and unlearn the habits associated with striving for an A+ paper.

I'm so happy Carol! Thank you for reading it slowly (that just melts my heart!) and I'm so happy to hear that you are embarking on the path of unlearning! It's so important for writers to move away from the A+ concept and getting into the mindset of publishing what might occur imperfect for them - but it's totally perfect for the audience!

I loved how you said that you can't bulldoze the street, just don't drive on it and it will grow weeds. It's hard for me to not get stuck when I react the same way to my environment when I'm trying to change. That analogy helped me 🤗🌺

Thank you for sharing. I find myself the same way. I set up a strong self and loose why or it changes things into places without soul. I want my soul back. but doing different things makes it easier to get the changes. My homework for this month is being here now and breathing and letting the tension out that I am holding. Then examine the thought to see why it stresses me.

Dear Linda: I love your "homework!" That's such a fabulous idea: creating assigment for ourselves just to "be" - be present, to breath and to notice! Cheering you on! Happy New Year!

Experiencing the meltdown at 3:00 am sounds like my meltdown when I left my laptop at my parents, was heading for a 10 day vacation, and couldn’t retrieve it. I discovered I survived with the severed cord. I’m happy for you. I truly enjoy your productivity but not if it’s killing you. Thank you for sharing your vulnerability. Congratulations and best wishes in moving forward rewiring! :)
