My education in leadership didn’t occur in a traditional classroom. Instead, it unfolded on the rugged roads of rural Poland, where my boyfriend and I, driven by youthful ambition and necessity, embraced the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. Each weekend, we’d venture out to local farmers, collecting fresh produce to sell at the market. This modest enterprise, aimed at making extra income, was more than a financial endeavor; it was a lesson in resilience, creativity, and the power of small actions to effect change.

In the context of a transitioning nation, where resources were scarce and luxury was a concept for the few, our endeavor was nothing short of revolutionary.
