I had a really tough time with comprehending what I read when I was young. Even in high school, I could read a whole novel and not be able to say what it was about. I also knew I wanted to be a writer. By my junior year if high school I knew tgat to write, I needed to read, widely. I would have to teach myself to read and know what I was reading. The first book I chose: Anna Karinnina. I thought I'd start with a classic! Although I've never been through what you have, I've been through my own hard times, and certainly face challenges as a leader. This is encouraging and helpful--especially as a reader and writer.
That difficult time sounds so unbearable. So inspiring to hear how you grew from it.
Thank you so much, Miriam!
