I am not enough to live by a tropical beach while earning abundant income.

Ooooof.

What came up is: It's wonderful to write these words knowing they are not true.

Dear Pain Story Exit: that's such a great way to approach this exercise! Well done!

I love your honesty , sharing all the doubts that may seem to little to share ….but they mean something and can hold us back if we let them . Thanks

Thank you, Linda for your kind and generous words!

True. Every. Word.

Dear Elspeth: I'm so happy it resonated with you! Cheers to writing!

I love this! My favorite lines:

"There's a zone where growth and doubt share a room."

"Confidence is a byproduct rather than a prerequisite."

"Doubt can be data without being destiny."

Thank you Ana! You just gave me an idea of Wall of Quotes :-) - thank you for that!

Awesome!

Wonderful post, Magdalena. BTW, do you have a nickname? You write "confidence is not a prerequisite." I totally agree. I write, "Courage does not come before taking the steps. It meets you halfway." Same message. Different words. Good on us!! Blue💙

Dear Blue: Thank you for asking. I do not have a nickname. Somehow, nicknames in Poland were never popular...but you are making me think if I should have one...

Okay, as long as it’s not Maggie! (My first and favorite dog). Magdalena it is. Blue💙

I don’t think usually think that “I am not enough” but rather, “ I don’t _____ enough”… ( fill in with, have enough to say, know enough to provide value, have enough experience to matter, do enough to measure up….). And logically I know better but the doubt creeps all the same. Thank you for the reframe.

I’m so glad that it resonated with you!

I am not enough to be grand, to be relevant. But I am not enough to give up either.

That’s such a great re-frame! I love it!

Not enough for what? For whom?

We tend to live to impress others, to please them.

Somewhere along the way, we forget ourselves.

Thank you for sharing.

"Last fall I almost didn’t publish a piece about future scripting; the one that ended up going viral."

I am so grateful you did, I love that piece. I will continue to go back to it.

I am not enough to write well (on Substack, newsletters, etc.)

And I do it anyway ;) imperfectly.

Thank you so much, Nicola! You’ve made my day!

Dear Neural Foundry: you are spot on! that's the key transformation: "When I started treating 'not enough' as confirmation I was doing something worth doing, everything shifted.' !! Well done! cheering you on! M
