The question I keep coming back to is why can't I ever get my act together? I don't know how to write to my future self because I have no idea what she wants. I like the idea of future scripting but really can't figure it out.
Dear Ellen: thank you for sharing your question and for your honest inquiry of not knowing where to start. The "magic" of future scripting is in NOT KNOWING - and in ALLOWING. give yourself permission to not know and to create, sit down with a tea or coffee and a journal and just start writing - just see, explore where the pen takes you...if it takes you into doing a to do list, or writing all the chores that are ahead of you - that's perfectly fine, finish that and put that to the side and then continue, and allow yourself to dream, speculate, think back to when you were a child,,,what was is that you loved doing - write about that...just start and the magic will unfold!
